Many individuals coming from conservative religious spaces have spoken to me about the way they felt in church was immediately transferred over to the bedroom.

Feeling bound by societal pressures is something we all are challenged by, but in some cases, we may feel pain, or sadness, or a reaction of - “If I can’t do it, then neither can you.”

There is nothing more important than to be truly seen, to feel understood and know there is place for us in this world.

“Just wait…” they said, “just wait till when they get to that age.”

“Use protection.” Yep, good advice, but there is so much more missing from the conversation.
